The Norway-America Association (NORAM) is a non-profit organization founded in 1919 that works to strengthen the bonds between Norway and North America through higher education. Since its inception, NORAM has awarded more than 5000 scholarships and worked with many high-profile Norwegians to achieve their academic dreams. Our goal is to provide sufficient funds for both Americans and Norwegians looking to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies abroad. By providing scholarships and opportunities to those who need them, we hope to contribute to a strengthening of national character, increase in international exchange and network building, and mutual understanding on both sides of the Atlantic.

As NORAM approaches our 100-year anniversary in June of 2019, we are looking for an intern who can help us with the planning of this celebration as well as the promotion of our scholarships during the spring season.

Qualifications include:

  • Familiarity or experience with education in the United States or Canada
  • Currently underway or recently finished with studies
  • Proficient in English
  • Preference also given to those with experience with social media and/or audio-visual media production

Assignments include, but are not limited to, arrangements for our 100-year celebration, marketing of NORAM scholarships, improvement and expansion of the website, sponsor-related work, and administrative tasks such as the handling of scholarship applications and various other duties around the office.

Workload and responsibilities will be decided on an individual basis with an eye towards the student’s interests and qualifications. If you have the option of receiving school credit for this position, we will facilitate this process.

The intern will receive compensation in the form of a scholarship. Start February 2019.

If this opportunity is of interest to you, send your application and CV to by Sunday, January 27th; any questions you have can be directed to the same address. We look forward to hearing from you!
